Who can wait until a whisky has finally been properly aged? To protect the whisky from being enjoyed too early, a small bottle has been glued into the body of this SIRIUS. Anyone who wants to get their hands on it will have to saw open the guitar! So it’s better to wait a few decades and play the guitar properly in the meantime.
To make the waiting time more bearable, the case also includes a bottle of the same whisky for immediate enjoyment. A SLYRS 12 years aged from 2013.
The oak body from a half-timbered house dating from 17xx fits perfectly with the theme. Whisky is also stored in oak barrels. The atmosphere is further enhanced by patinated brass parts.
The outside of the oak wood has protected the inside of the beam from wind and weather for centuries. Now the roles have been reversed. The inside of the wood forms the body and the outside finds its dignified and protected place on the truss rod cover, the potentiometers, and the recessed lid of the whiskey compartment. It’s the same with many people. First, parents take care of their children, and later, children take care of their parents.
Many thanks to the SLYRS distillery for their kind support and the great photos from the whisky barrel warehouse.
